The scenario presented here are very common and equally hazardous in India. Most often we see people suffering from acne applying cream brought from pharmacy without the prescription. Topical steroids are the most commonly dispensed creams in this regards. However they provide a fast relief in initial phase, but steroid is the class of medicine contraindicated in Acne. After an initial phase there is major derangement in skin and eye health. Long time users of steroids creams may have excess hair growth on their face, increase in previous acne counts, thinning of skin, and itching over skin.

A 19 year-old boy from Ujjain has acne over face since 3 year. He has been applying topical steroids since last one year.
The pictures indicate a gradual deterioration of skin because of the medicinal abuse.
